I play Call of Duty and Killzone 3 and I hear it a lot. The “Tough Guy” syndrome is what I call it. Everybody wants to be the big guy on the mic. And they’ll are TOTALLY different outside of there persona. It’s crazy, because I can hear these guys on the mic talking like there the ish and nobody else is. That’s the only thing that dissapoints me.
Now, if you don’t know, Multiplayer is a BIG thing to a lot of gamers. Some, won’t even play the single player mode, but will quickly switch over to the multiplayer and play the heck out of that. And if you don’t know what Mulitplayer is in gaming, is just a whole bunch of people playing online. FPS games made MP as hot as it is. But, of course, ego’s has to get in the way of things. For strategy, we have mics. But, we sometimes don’t use it as intended. Me, myself, don’t use mics. If I do, I will have a friend on my team so we can strategize together. I know, some people may hate that, but that’s just me. I don’t have time arguing with someone I don’t know. I came online just to have fun, and that’s it. Nothing else. Mics, is the reason I made this in the first place. People have big mouths. Which brings me to my next point…”Tough Guy” syndrome.
Everyone knows the “Tough Guy” syndrome. This person acts all big and bad. Most of the time they are covering something up. But, it’s WORSE online. With the addition of mic’s, it seems that these group of people is tough behind the mic. They’ll most likely wouldn’t say half the stuff I hear online in real life. I understand it’s a mic, and it is just like the computer how you are behind a screen, but still….To all ya’ll “Tough Guy” characters….Stop it! Lol They try to taunt people. I can recall one time in Call of Duty, during the start screen I hear two guys arguing at a kid(Which, I will get to in a minute). They were acting all bad. But, this kid(I know he was a kid by the sound of his voice) was like “Your momma….Your momma”. This kid went OLD SCHOOL! When’s the last time you heard that? WHEN YOU WAS A KID! I was like “Really?” Don’t get me wrong, I was laughing, but seriously. If the only thing you can produce was a “Your Momma” joke, then you should stop. Especially, aiming that toward this dudes that had to be over 18. Just hilarious. But, I can’t say I don’t laugh about it. It is something entertaining to wait till the action starts..
What I want, is mature people. Not those just reach puberty kids, but MATURE people. People who can work together as a team. This is why I love single player. Just me and my self. I also love versus modes, so when I have a friend or 2 come over we can play right across from each other. No bickering(Unless, is smack talk. Hey, I play madden with these guys also), no dumb fights. Just plane fun! I should start muting, but I will miss the comedy! Lol
One last thing I want to discuss. Though, it’s not dealing with “Online Wars” per say, but it is worth noting. Camping in games. Yes I said it, camping. Now, to me, camper’s are easy to beat. The one’s who stay in once corner should be easy! I can’t see why you are not able to catch them. A lot of people complain about there is “too” many camper’s. In all the games I played, not that many people stay in one area for to long. Majority of the users knows their way around the map, so it’s a bit difficult to stay in one place for a period of time. Off all the things to complain about, this isn’t that big of a deal. My gripe, is those noobtubers! I had one game, where over half the team had them grenade launchers. Yes, I know it’s an attachment and I have ’em too, but still, it’s annoying. It has to be the worst attachment that Blackops(Or any game for that matter) have. You should complain about that!
Anyways, I just wanted to explain my point of view with Online Wars. What do you guys thing?
