Alright. I’m wrecking this game today! Oh what’s that? 11 kills. Time to call in the gun ship. Man, I’m murdering fools today on Black Ops. Yeah buddy, it’s my day to shine. Ain’t NO BODY shooting my bird down. Look at me getting at these guys. Smooth sailing from here. Man, this is such an easy game, I can’t believe it’s happening, it must be one of those days, huh? Yes, I won! Now to turn combat training off and make this real >_>
Ummm, ok. Maybe that wasn’t real, but I did good, right? Over the past week, or so, I’ve been playing Combat Training on Black Ops. Yeah, yeah, take pity on me, so what. I’m trying to practice my reflex cause it’s slow. Although, these bots are terrible, but guess what? I get to fly the gun ship! So what, I can’t accomplish this in actual MP mode, but I still did it. But, this got me to thinking of who else use this mode. Do you? Do you enjoy it? I also play Killzone 3 MP, but I have only once played botzzone. These modes gives us, the players, a slight advantage to the real thing. How? You ask. Let me try my best to explain it to you.
For one, these training modes will help you familiarize the map. This, to me, is the one helpful things that “Training” modes offer. If you know the map, and you know where EVERYTHING is located that can easily give you the advantage. Now, you may not come on top every time, but you know where to go. So, I suppose if your a camper you know where to camp :)(A lousy shout out). Knowing where to go before getting into the actual game saves you time and aggravation. Let’s say you are a run’n’gunner and you get shot at one location time after time. Well obviously it’s a camper doing it. But, by being a “expert” with the map, you should know every nook and cranny of the buildings and street.
You also know where enemies will come out. This goes what I was discussing earlier. Campers, you know where there located. If you are like me, and just run’n’gun, this will help you to find the other….run’n’gunners. Then again, that comes from being on the map so many times that you know where they’ll be at/spawn from. Knowing the general area where the enemy members spawn at will show you where they are going.
The last objective that I want to talk about, is aiming. This is why I use these training modes. I know on Call of Duty you can choose the difficulty level. I stick with recruit, because I want to try to aim and kill faster than I normally do. I will up the difficulty, but that doesn’t really depict anything to me. There’s a lot of factors that go into killing your opponent. Aiming, who shoots first, the better gun and from what I hear, who’s less laggy(Crappy server!). You may think that this may not be any help to you. Or that it really doesn’t depict human instincts. But every bit helps.
Yeah, I know. I’m kinda crazy to only play COD Combat Training for the gun ship. But, that’s not all I do. By knowing the map, you can get from point A to B in no time(Especially, during those CTF type of matches). By time, you can have a educated guess where your opponent is going come from. Your aim skills can get better with practice. You can learn this, all while playing training modes. Now, let me get back in my gun ship and tear down these bots!!!!
